I just found out that they are making a movie about my child's favorite book! A Treasure's Trove by Michael Stadther.
It's a beautiful fairy tale with fascinating illustrations and family values.
The books follow a human, human/elf and a "doth" (kind of a cute winged dog) as they try to save the dying forest.
In real life around the US now they are having a treasure hunt for jewels similar to those the characters look for in the book. You must use the story and illustrations to decipher 12 different locations around the US, and find a gold token redeemable for the jeweled creature. the 12 jeweled creatures total over 1 million dollars in value too.
Now they are making a movie about it! i wonder how its going to turn out. I really like to see jason, my son, when he is involved so beautifully with something like this.
what are you're child's favorite books? or just something they couldn't stop talking about because they loved it so much?

They had a book similar to that when I was younger, many years ago now, although I cant remember what it was called!

My girls all loved Charlie and the Chocolate factory and its also one of their favourite films, so they are really looking forward to seeing the new film thats coming out soon.

I can't wait to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I loved the book and movie as a child. I was also delighted to see there's a big screen version of the Chronicles of Narnia being made, I adored those books as a child and it'll be great to see kids reading them again.

I love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory etc too, Also the "Narnia" books - would like to see the films myself.

My kids are still a bit too young for this kind of thing though.

Raven - I remember that book too - was it " Masquerade"?

Im pretty sure it is Masquerade as well.
I heard it was in Stadther's mind when he was writing A Treasure's Trove.
