last night I says to Dh I fancy watching a fun movie

well he says we haven't watched Pans Labyrinth (PL), Mark Kamode of 5 live really rates this movie, its a fantasy film. OK

Right things he forgot to tell me!

1) it was a spanish film, so subtitled, rather less fun but ok
2) it was a horrible dark movie with lots of violence in it Cert 15?!!! NO way should have been an 18.

I spent most of the movie hiding away from the nasty Captain!

It was very dark not happy jolly at all.

He did say it wasn't what he expected, but really don't watch this film if you want a nice jolly fantasy film.

It is very dark and macbre. A good film but not nice subject

Has anyone else seen it?

I guess it was the torture scenes! I was petrified!

I can never watch films where people get tortured.

It was a great suspense movie, interesting ending.

But not at all what we thought it would be like, I thought it might be a bit sleepy hollowish

have to say Dh is reading some reviews on it and it is highly rated as a film.

I would rate it as a film, can't fault the acting etc scenery was fab, it was a thought provoking film the backdrop was the 2nd world war, but if you are a wee bit shocked by violence/torture scenes then you would be looking away. One of the prinicpal characters is a violent, brutal man who at one point says to the Doctor, re his pregnant wife, save the baby at all costs.

I would give it a 8/10 but it was not an enjoyable film iykwim.

I can't watch violent films anymore, even disney is too much at times
