i know its bad, but i don't even want to click on those links :no:
i think id rather not know what was going on, but then thats rather ignorant of me not to be ''up to date'' but i'm sick of reading all the bad stuff!

Its why I don't read / watch / listen to the news anymore - so much bad stuff going on, and you hardly ever get to hear about anything good anymore - I wonder what sort of world I am bringing my children up in at the moment, and worry for the what the future holds for them.

I feel the same ems, its awful, everytime you listen/watch the news its all bad, there are some evil people in this world, maybe we should start a good news thread to cheer us up!

Its awful I try to not watch the news as its full of awful stuff and rarely anything happy. I do also worry and have concern about the world I am bringing my children up in but it appears to be like it in most places in the uk.

im afraid that im guilty of igorance too....i would rather not know whats going on....the only thing that i make myself do is watch Crimewatch....because you never know if you are going to be able to help someone...but it always depresses me after.....

Thats a great idea - have a thread where only news that will make us smile goes in there - rather than all the doom and gloom we ever hear about - theres got to be some nice stuff going on in the world somewhere that gets published..
