Make up hints

just thinking dh will be home in an hour so putting a bit of make up on, well we haven't been married long and thought I still do the same as I did at 16, 30 odd years ago, foundation, bit of eye shadow, lipstick, mascara and Khol pencil, so all you youngsters any make up up to date ideas?, how do you do your eyes up any secrets to making them look bigger and how do you do the smokey look eye make up?

All I use is a bit of powder on my skin, occasionally a bit of blusher but never much - make up should look as natural as possible. I regularly have my eyebrows shaped and tinted as a good eyebrow shape can take years off you and then I wear a bit of mascara and lipstick.
The only time I would wear eyeshadow these days is if I was going for a night out or maybe a wedding.
Less is best imo. You just need to enhance what you already have. Lipstick should be not too light and not too dark but it depends on your colouring as to the shade that suits you best.
If you have really big eyes a bit of eyeliner inside the eyelid will look good but if your eyes are small you need a bit of eyeliner underneath your bottom lid to make them look bigger.

I don't tend to wear any unless I'm going on a night out or something like that (which is extremely rare) so I'm no good with that kind of advice - sorry hun.

Though I would deffo agree with Sarah about it looking natural - I always think that looks best :yes:

Oh I do look natural, I have learnt some skills since being 16:cheesy: but would never go without mascara and lipstick!! I don't go out of the house with out my makeup on! I stopped wearing eyeshadow as thought I was too old but got a nice pale pink colour that just lightens the area a bit but obviously as you get older they don't look so big as your eyelids tend to drop !!! I guess really the only hope is plastic surgery!!

I never go out without mascara and lipstick on either hun unless I've recently had my eyelashes tinted like at the moment. But I still usually just touch up the very ends of my lashes with mascara x
