Simon was horrible to my friends daughter - she's only 11 and as a result she's dropped out of choir and given up singing

Oh and bless the baton twirling boy! He was really good! Amanda Holden has gone up in my estimation too. I loved what she said to him about having a dream.

I had this on last night expecting it to be a load of rubbish to be honest. I never watch the Royal Variety Show anyway. But, I really enjoyed it. I thought that the opera bloke was brilliant. I was expecting him to be rubbish tbh. Don't know why. The monkey and bloke & the lad doing comedy made me laugh, the group of dancers from Liverpool & the baton twirling lad made me cry!!!

That's him. He and my BIL are like 2 peas in a pod. He's from Bristol but lives in Maesteg (I think, somewhere near Port Talbot).

Watched the repeat last night wasn't that little girl amazing, what a voice for a six year old, it almost wasn't real, brought tears to my eyes. Also the old boy tap dancing me and dd were watching I kept saying ahh, ahh, isn't he good for his age, and then when he finished added silly old devil, we were in fits of giggles.

I cried at the little girl but cried even more at the old guy! The kids think I'm losing the plot - they're probably right :cheesy:

I'm loving this series - I'm a massive Simon Cowell fan (there is something about powerful men isn't there???) but I think he has been even more human in this series.

So many of the acts have been brilliant - in a lot of ways it is a shame we are only seeing some of them and small bits at that.

The "magic act" with the blood and gore was hysterical, so different and very funny.

That little girl was fabulous but that song always makes me cry (family reasons) so I was sniffling like a baby lol!

Paul, the opera guy, seems to be all over the Internet!

I've seen clips of him on loads of sites

somehow though, I can't see him winning, talented though he is I just reckon either cutsie (one of the kiddie acts) or bizarre (that weird magic act) will win.

In other news

I thought tonight when they had that huge group of very young girls telling us how to make an impact (wiggle your bum and pout etc.) it was a bit freaky, sexualising young children. And they did really seem to be aiming for that aspect, FFS those girls where what? 10 years old? I really would NOT let my little girl be exploited like that.

Did that bother anyone else? or am I being a prude?
