Season finale

That phrase irritates me soooo much!!! Why is everything suddenly a season finale instead of 'last in the series' like it always used to be?? What's a finale anyway?? It's not a West End show it's just the last programme in the series.

Sorry Sarah, but that did make me laugh!! It's definitely a Sky One thing as just about EVERYTHING on there is a series finale at the moment! Oh and Desperate Housewives too!
Think maybe its an american thing that has found it's way over here along with some great series we are getting at the moment!!
can't say it annoys me though to be honest!!

I think season finale is an american saying and cos we are becoming bestest friends with the USA we seem to be adopting their sayings

its like the season premier (however it's spelled) you get at beginning of series of Lost, DH, etc - bizarre and just to make it all sound more exciting. Although I will be ready when they both arrive!
