I see the RSS symbols everywhere but have no idea what they are? anyone explain that one? MrTD?

In all honesty - I have been unsure of whether I had to add a specific code to my blog to enable me to use the RSS feeds but I think Blogger automatically has an RSS feed to each blog...it says Subscribe to: Posts (Atom) at the bottom of my blog, I think that is an RSS feed....

It totally confuses me LOL - I'm gonna submit my blog to all the directories anyway and if it does nothing hey ho!! DOH! Anyone else know more about this?

RSS - Real Simple Syndication

it's a way of tracking changes to a web site without having to visit it, you need an RSS reader (there's one built into opera (http://www.opera.com))

You can also build RSS feeds from other sites into your own web site, so you could have local news etc on your front page.

right! i thought that's what it was or something along those lines! reason being there are 3 girls that pop up on my blog when i post something new... sometimes i won't post for days yet they still know i have. i knew they didn't check everyday!

so how do i do this myself for other blogs? because i would like to know when my friend updates hers etc actually i just re-read your post so I'll give it a try later :happy72:
