Hi all,

Sales are slowely improving but I have to admit I was hoping to be getting more than I am!
I am going to do a free postage offer next week.
Apart from the obvious fact that I need to get out there and advertise I wondered if anyone could suggest how I can improve my sales or why they think they may be slow just from looking at the site??

1. www.rubyiris.com

2. Type of business; Gifts. I will be adding products to all sections over the next month or two. I have been trading for a while now but mainly doing parties and fayres and decided to attempt the web too!!

My site was designed by the lovely Daffs and I am pretty sure Daffs has got the look spot on..I wrote the text so could I improve that? or my product range?

Thanks x

Hi Anj,

I know exactly what you mean about sales!

Your site is really lovely and so are your products so i dont think it has anything to do with them why your sales arnt as good as you would like.

Sorry i dont have any tips but i will keep an eye on this thread for any for myself - i'm sure other people will be able to help you more! :happy72:

I love it, especially now you have more products on it, cos I can have a proper little browse about.

The only thing that did fox me at one point was finding the "check basket" bit... I know it says what's in it but to click into it I had to get my specs on to see the clickable arrow, maybe you could have the word "shopping cart" as clickable to take you through???

That aside I think it's fab and can't wait for my bag to arrive :hyper:

I have just had a look and think your site is really nice! its very pleaseing on the eye, easy to navigate and the text/piccys look and sound fine to me...tried to pick fault to give to constructive critism but couldnt, sorry.I dont think its your site thats preventing sales i think it may just be a matter of time and although i have been getting sales it been slower for me than last month but hey ho swings and roundabouts.
Good luck and will be keeping my eye on your handbags for when my bag buying curfew is lifted!

Thank you everyone - I think you have confirmed my suspicions that I really need to get the word out there rather than fiddling with the site!!!

It is quite hard trying to fit in work at the mo with my two little monsters running around but I am going to be trying to do more in the evenings on a Mon-Thurs. I am going to start list writing as you guys said in the motivation thread. I must re-read the thread about promoting websites again!! but in the mean time if anyone has any suggestions!! - I am definitely going to be asking for Antonia's PR book for my birthday lol!!!

Love Anj x

Had a quick peep - it's such a lovely site.

Only a very slight thing to say - the images - could you have a title on each which appears when you hover your mouse over it? (so you know what they are?). You can also click through to the bunny bag but not to the other items on the front page :)

You know I love your site!! It gets better each time I take a peek, especially with more products on it now.

Glad to hear you are getting sales and I'm sure it will really pick up for you nearer Chritmas. I too, have my eye on one of your bags!!! lol!

Great site. Maybe some pages focused on specific keywords in your niche would up the traffic and thus sales. Maybe consider an autoresponder newsletter to you can capture an email if not a sale today. Market your list with specials to up your sales. Hope this helps
