Can anyone help me with a few EBAY queries please :D


I am an Ebay virgin LOL but have seen a phone on there im interested in which ends in approx 2 hours

I have registered with them and have entered my Debit card number etc... but was wondering if i do bid is this the method with which ill pay *ie can i not use DP's debit card to buy with*

And also can i choose which method of postage i use as it say's
Postage costs: £3.50 - Royal Mail 1st Class Standard (Within United Kingdom)
Other postage services available

So im quessing i can chose one of the other methods below one of them being
£5.50 Royal Mail Special Delivery United Kingdom Only

What does special delivery mean is it the same as recorded delivery???

Im not sure what special delivery is. I think its where they get a signature from you but dont think it means you get it within a certain period of time.

Check the item on which you are buying for what payments they will accept. With a lot of them its usually paypal or credit card and you should be able to specify from which card

Special delivery- I think- involves insurance- it's very much higher anyway

If you registered the card with Paypal then that's what would be debited if you used Paypal to pay the person...there are means to put another card on there though. If it was just to register with Ebay then no you don't have to, it's just they ask for it, say, when someone's registering with a yahoo/free email address

Look where they have put all the postage and payment options and it will tell you, say, if you can send a cheque or postal order, or have to pay by Paypal
