A company that wholesales out some products that i would like to stock has told me that i can dropship off them.
What exactly happens about postage as I have free postage on one of my sites and the other has a flat rate. Obviously they will charge me postage.
How do you work it out so the customer pays that postage?
If I add to the price of the item, then they order three it will be quite expensive for them or what if they order other items that are not dropshipped from the same company?
Sorry if this sounds confusing.
:D

I have the same problem as some of my items are dropshipped

I now have a postage rate on my site and I have to incorporate some of the cost into the item

I have just found a new company to dropship for me but their postage rate is £5.95 and way above anything I charge so I am still trying to work out if it will be beneficial

you could always put on these items that they are shipped direct from the supplier and will incur a different postage charge  don't really know what to do the for best to be honest

if they are going to buy 3 of something from you then they have already made up their mind that the cost is ok for them and probably wouldn't even think about it

if they order items that are dropshipped and items that are from your own stock just put a note on your site that some items maybe despatched seperatley

The way I see it is that the cost to you is the cost to you, including the post to the customer. So you either charge postage at whatever rate looks reasonable for an end price or you add it in to the price and call it free postage or p&p included or whatever. Whether you're dropshipping or not. The advantages of dropshipping generally mean lower profit margins, of course.
