How much more you would be able to get done if you worked away from home?
I love working from home for lots of reasons but I find it so frustrating when I have a long list of things that I need to get done. It feels like I am always doing something at the expense of something else.
I am not moaning but I was just thinking how nice it would be to actually go to an office away from the home and have an entire day to concentrate!

Hi,
My SIL has had her garage converted into a office! So she now leaves the house like she is going to work - she loves it!!

oooh Im so jealous I would love an office - we have three computers littered over the house and upstairs its an office like room but with little ones its impossible to get up there.
I think I am just finding it frustrating today as both the boys are home and normally I would just have Casper. Oh, well.

I did that and have just moved back home. I found that I spent most of my time in the office taking phone calls and sitting making small talk with either my staff or people in the units, etc.
So I ended up spending about three days a week working from home so that I could get work done.
We decided on that basis to save the £1500 a month on offices and move the business here - so have had a nice new office built in my home which accommodates us all properly.
All the big stock and packaging is in storage now.

I have a friend with a studio which I look at with envy.....maybe one day, but its just not cost effective while I juggle work with the nursery run LOL!

That's just it, when we took out the lease on our offices we were 7 mins from school and 7 mins from home in a triangle.
Then the kids moved school's and it took the journey to about half an hour - plus another 15 mins in case the motorway was clogged up (regular occurance).
Whilst my DH generally does the morning run, I still found leaving at 2.45pm very restrictive.

We have a room upstairs but Ruby is in it at the mo until we decorate her new room - so I will have to keep waiting!

Well we have the study which I do my work in - though sometimes if I'm working on a website and want to put my feetup I'll sit downstairs or on the bed.
I don't think I'd get much done in an office out of the home to be honest. I like the fact that I can be comfortable while I work and if I'm feeling awful, then I know I can work from bed.
Also, saves me money. LOL
