Closing a Business Bank Account

How do I do this? Do I just write and tell them I want to close it and ask for all the funds to be returned to me?

Could you not withdraw all funds and then write a letter to close it?

Are you switching to an account with a different bank or closing for good?

A different bank (well I did that last year but I now need to get my act together and close this one)... I thought about writing myself a check but they charge for cheques and pay interest so I wouldn't know how much to write it for!

Open up the new account and then do a transfer to the new account and then close your old one via a letter.

Hi,

When I had to close my account for the previous business I just had to call them (Abbey) and they sent me a cheque in my name which I could then bank into the new account.

Maybe give them a call as sometimes some banks do require a letter.
