COuld you have a look at my site and see if you can tell us where to find the code that is making the grey band under the bar which says forum, etc. On the index page it is there but on all the other pages it is above the bottom bar.
DP has searched high and low and can't see what is making it appear. Any ideas please?

Do you have a margin on something that is causing the space and so the background colour shows?

The margins are all set to 0. DP has searched for ages but can't see what is bringing it in. If you left click on the gap you can see something is there but what? he can't find a page break or tep spacer but he can't see where it is being brought in from.

Its back to white now as DP can't see what is drawing it in. If you click under the word home you can see its there.
On the pages other than the index page its above the blue bar. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Im confused which bit dont you want?
Chell

I want the site like MZ, how there is a pale blue strip down each side. At the moment when we change that colour the same colour is appearing under the top blue bar.

Presumably you are changing the colours in your stylesheet?
Have you tried changing the background?
Chell
29-04-2007, 10:28 PM
Yes, he has changed everything under the sun but somehow a block of colour displays under that bar the same as whatever the background is.
Then when you move to a new page eg the specials, the block of colour is down the bottom. Its odd as he can't see anything in the code which is making it appear.

Have you checked under your includes section is there anything there for the left or right margins

it sounds to me like something squiffy with the tables, has anyone checked your source code? When I've got something like that going on I go through and use tabs to align all the table, tr and td tags so that I can see where the tables aren't working properly. Tedious but it works.

Whoosh, thats beyond me but I will mention it later, thanks.
He thinks that the other pages have a header title thingy but the index page doesn't. He said he would put one in and see if that works. It will be left till the weekend now though.

ahh! I had an odd thing going on with the header tags in the article manager, they were appearing on the page instead of the meta-tags. Might be worth pursuing?
