That is very interesting, I was going to use that one but wasn't sure it was right as it isn't a simple logo like the others.

Thanks I really do appreciate your feedback!

Do you mean you think the blog is more me as opposed to the current pink website I have?

Thanks!

Oh I thought you meant the one at the top of the blog. I love that one, it is perfect for what you do. I didn't realise you meant the others lower down!!

I wouldn't choose any of them to be totally honest.

If you are rebranding 1 doesn't say anything new and 2 & 3 dont say anything about you, what you do or your brand. They are nice fonts and can see they would be nice as letter heads atc but the one on your blog is the perfect header for you.

Sorry I didn't mean to confuse you all. It's for the website. I had the one on the blog designed for the website originally but wasn't sure if it was too much and would detract from the actual art work.

So I was going to keep the logo really simple instead, hence the two text ones added on the blog for the survey.

I just wanted to know what you all thought as your opinions are what count and not what I think works! :D

Hope I've made myself clearer if not give me a kick and I'll try harder :hysterica

To add if I went with the one at the top of the blog the colourful one how the heck would I use that on letterheads etc wouldn't it be too much?

Thanks so much for your input!

If you can find a toned down version of the blog logo you'd be away!

I'd be tempted to get id of the woman and the butterfy in the pic and just go for the layers of blurred out text. Like I know anything about art anyway!

right I understand now, in that case none of them as the first one is the one you've already got isn't it so that wouldn't be rebranding and the other 2 just don't look right

right just chopped up your banner (only spent about 2 secs on it - not claiming it to be a work of art!) to describe what I meant!

Could you do something like the lettering on the birthday cards that are on your site, with the each word or letter on their own background.

NikiJ

Oh Suzie no not at all. I am not upset at all.

Your opinion just like everyone's here means a lot to me and I really appreciate your feedback. I should have been clearer in the first place.

Go and have a lovely soak or put your feet up and relax!

I like what Jazz did but from a customer point of view the lettering that says who you are needs to stand out more.

You could ask Elaine at Little Sheep learning to get her sister to help you, she is a design graduate.

what about having your browser image as the faded writing like in the background of the Blog header and having a more distinctive logo, as white fonts just wouldn't work on business cards/ letter heads unless they have shadow round them. And maybe just adding in a small image. I like Chells idea of the style of the birthday cards. Maybe you could just have 'The' in that style?

Tanya
28-04-2007, 06:45 PM
you could make your logo out of one of your products

turn a bookmark on it's side, put the lettering and decoration that you want on it, take a photo and hey presto!

It would be simple but something like the written par ton this product with the look of the studs added would work:

NikiJ

Thinking about I can't use my products as a logo because the papers, stamps etc are all copyrighted and wouldn't allow the use in logos.

I was saying to TJ that I will see what the results turn out to be but if the majority say the blog logo is their favourite I will go with that and do what Jazz said and have a toned down version for the stationery.

Thanks all! If you haven't had your say yet please do!

Hi Niki
Sorry to join this so late (my PC is dead so reliant on DH and my Mum's PCs!).
You say that you are going to use your blog one for your website and a toned down one for your stationery - I wouldn't do this. I would get a pro to work on your blog one so it can be used on all your stationery, business cards, website, etc. Comsistent brand blah blah. You should also be able to print it out on your PC too.
I also like your blog one. It is more in keeping with what you do. I would suggest you make the writing a bit clearer - maybe knock the background back slightly as they do compete a bit.
Anyway, good luck!
Love

Thanks Lucy. Thinking about what others have said about it reflecting what I do I am getting a quote for something more suitable and simple. I don't want a big complicated logo like the blog one.

So I'll be back soon to get more opinions lol

Good idea. Alison did my logo and I am very pleased with it. I was going to try doing one myself but I would have been limited to WORD or EXCEL and thought that may not be too professional looking ha ha!

I like the blog one but it is busy and I like number 2.

I think your log should reflect your product and your brand identity. Also be easy to use.

Well done

I like the logo you are using now as it is simple.
However, I love you blog one! The trouble is as you have said it is far too busy! It's difficult isn't!!
Your normal logo goes so well with your site and it would be a total pain to have to redo all of that again!!
Sorry I can't help any more!!
