Hi All
Can you please give your feedback on the following. I'm having it designed to go in the hard copy version of the Free Sprouts Magazine (http://www.magsite.co.uk/store/free-trial-offers/sprouts-magazine/prod_2319.html) Any feedback is greatly appricated. (size is 1/2 A4 page)
This is low res version

It looks good but I'd try and get a bit more definition around the lettering - a sllight drop shadow before the yellow stroke around the lettering would allow it to stand out more.
The offers don't really stand out - I'd perhaps experiment with them being in a bulleted list type thing :
3 Issues for £1
3 Issues for £3
Free Trial Offers
Free Gifts (not sure it needs the word magazines as that goes without saying).
However it may be that this doesnt work with the layout but I'd be tempted to try it and see.

i preferred the black writing!
Am confused as to why you have a child in the picture with no childrens magazines though...

Hey Lisa
Sorry wasnt explaining very well yesterday - think if you try a faint black outline on the outside of the white but inside the yellow - so its like an extra stroke inside the lettering.
Just spotted the version with all black writing - that definately helps the lettering stand out better than the just white.
Also agree with smirnoff - why not have a cover of junior or something on there to tie up with the child photo? They dont all have to be child related but having one would make the ad 'make sense'.

I agree that you need at least one parenting title in the mags selection

I would suggest a parenting title in the mags bit below the child that would then pull the theme together better - I LOVE the layout - wonderful!! I think that the one with the black lettering is best - it is far clearer and eyecatching! It also balances the whole graphic elements better - seeing as how the bottom of the advert is dark.....
Brilliant though - well done!!

Thanks again, heres the latest http://i14.tinypic.com/2hd9xlt.jpg
I've added the junior magazine at the front, as its aimed at a parents magazine and also made the writing black, as this looks better when printed in black and white

Looks good Lisa - but not sure that such a pink cover works. Do you have any other colours of Junior mag? Also I'd be tempted to really optimise those covers to the target market. If this is a parenting mag then have a kiddy one (ie junior) and a pregnancy one and make the others be something that will appeal to the majority of the readers of the publication (will it be women, what kind of sector will they be in etc).
Get the best out of what it is you are doing.

Its been sent off for inclusion in the next Sprouts Magazine (http://www.magsite.co.uk/store/free-trial-offers/sprouts-magazine/prod_2319.html) , I'll let you know when its added!
I'm thinking about using the same design for a few things, like leaflets.
thanks for your help with this one!
