Has anyone else seen this mentioned in the news lately. Its where a group of youths attack someone and film it on their mobile phones and apparently its on the increase!

Yeah there have been a couple of incidents in our local paper. Started a few weeks ago here.

Seems to be gangs of 20-30 youths that pick on young single people or couples. The reports I have seen were serious assults, needing hospital treatment, not just "a slap".

Surely if films/photos are passed around, there must be enough evidence to charge these people with ABH/GBH?

there's been nothing locally at my end but ive seen them in the news its terrible what there doing :angry:

Saw it on the Trevor McDonald program the other day. I had never heard of it before and :crossfingers: it doesn't reach here.

ED knows that of she ever gets involved in anything like that she would be in serious trouble and that would not just be from me and her Dad but would also mean a visit from the Police

Yup, I was watching The Wright Stuff the other day and they were discussing it (I find that watching TWS is a lot more entertaining than watching the actual news LOL)

Matthew Wright's other half is currently going through cancer treatment and had this happen to her... on her first day out of the house without her wig apparently!!! She got really upset and shouted to them that she had cancer and says they just stood there and muttered apologies

.....I really don't believe the stuff that is going on these days.... WHY does it happen? The kids say they have nothing to occupy themselves with.. but neither did I when I was a lass

..OMG I swore I'd never use that phrase hehe
