Do I need to register with the DPA for my new site?

probably not if the only data you collect is in relation to marketing your own business to clients or dealing with your own clients eg billing etc and keeping records for taxman etc. If you do any marketing for others you may need to register.

It did thanks, look like I will have to register because of the nature of the work I will be doing, it doesnt look expensive though so better to do it to be on the safe side.

yeah,
I think you can register for £35 a year, I think its the same if you have to register or if you register voluntarily
