My house is mostly neutral colours, my living room is west facing, and gets lots of light from about 2pm onwards, i have 2 brown 3 seater sofas, light oak laminate flooring, most of my curtains are cream, as are my walls. But i want to add some colour!! it just looks so boring.
I dont know what colour to pick to go with the creams and browns!
Also my bedroom is going to be decorated next week...and i dont know what coloour scheme to go for...it is also west facing, with a cream carpet and curtains...my wardrobes are going to be pine, we are buying them next week, my headboard and bedside cupboards are pine.
I wanted to go neutral as i thought it looked lovely, and mine does, but i really want to add some colour to the rooms too!
I am no good at this smiledance

I was thinking a pale pink hun - that would go lovely with those colours, or a very delicate yellow colour but it would be have to be a dusky yellow rather than a bright yellow.

Myfront room is the same colours and i have added teal as a colour it looks fab i started adding it using cushions with brown cream and teal and a couple of vases then i painted my porch teal, you can see it from the front room as the door has glass in it. I usually go for pale neutral colours but i love my front room more than ever since adding the teal hope this helps x

our front room is browns and creams - in fact we have 2 walls in 'Tirimasu' and 2 walls in 'whisky cream' with brown leather sofas and quite dark laminate....and also a film of talc over everything :cheesy:

I was thinking of adding an accent colour for the accessories and i think im gonna go for a dusky pink colour....

I was thinking of deep red or a slight aubergine colour (not that dark) a plummy red I suppose would look nice.

I love this link........colour and design is my favourite subject apart from my kids.

We have a chocolate and stone coloured lounge and I have just added orange accessories, cushions and a candle, and one of my paintings. It just adds some colour to the room.

I do love the idea of duck egg blue too though, I nearly went that way, but I thought the terracotta/orange colour would be a bit different.
