Are there jobs around the home that really need doing but you are unsure where to start? Maybe you have seen something you would like but cant find it anywhere. Ask our members and see if they can help.

I put my partner for this but I actually do it sometimes, particularly if its a flatpack item as he just seems to rush straight in and get things the wrong way round!

My husband would be the first to admit that he is useless and I did a DIY workshop which was brilliant fun. For the jobs that are just too difficult we have a friend that can.

My lovely partner does mine. I sometimes help, if he's too busy with other things.
Lol to all the girls who gets their partners to do those sort of jobs. Also well done to all who try and do it on their own as well.

I was babysitting one day, and left some paint in my bedroom. The child i was babysitting, picked up the can and emptied it all over my nice quilt cover, her mother wasn't too happy, to say the least. Nor was I, so I told her off, and said that she was in the wrong for touching my things, when she was meant to be sleeping.

You need a separate category for we both do it together !!!! decorating that is :-)
We always just both get stuck into all the DIY and go for it. I lived here on my own before we met and then I fitted a new front door lock, security dead locks to back door, window locks plus did plenty of decorating. I love it and also really love putting flat pack furniture together - as long as all the bits are there and the holes drilled out ROTFL

My fiance does most of the DIY home improvements/fixes, but I help him alot of times too. And I do little things like rearrange furniture or sponge paint.

Me me me. No-one else here to do it lol! That's the only downside as far as i'm concerned being a single mum, everything is down to me. Thats probably the reason why i havent had a light in my kitchen for about a month lol i really need to get that sorted.
I love decorating though and i've done my living room, bedroom and ds's room all by myself which makes me feel good! "Thumbs up" Also i can put shelves up and stuff and curtain poles!
Its the not so nice jobs i don't like and obviously anything electrical i wouldn't do!
My dad mows my lawn bless him!
Oh yeh and i put together mine and ds's flat pack wardrobes and drawers with a bit of 'help' from ds!
Men who needs em! :D (if ever there's a massive spider in my bath i call on my lovely next door neighbour!)

Lol - thats the worst thing ever isn't it? Going into the bathroom and seeing the monster running around in the bath!
I saw a really big spider in the bath the other night - and forgot about it until dd wanted a bath in the morning .... I'm trying not to pass on my fears of creepy crawlies to the kids - so I had to dispose of it!
Opened the bathroom window and steeled myself to "help" the spider out of the window using the cardboard tube from a loo roll - both that and spidey went out at high speed!

You're better than me, i couldn't even 'pick up' a spider with a 6 foot long loo roll tube! I can bearly look at them, its crazy i know but they terrify me.
Shuddering at i type lol!!
And i can't sleep until i know for sure its out of the house!
My sister covers them with a mixing bowl (see through so she knows it hasn't escaped) until her dh gets home.
I think another horrible creature is a 'billy-witch', ewww they are gross, used to get them in the flat i used to live in, they used to plop on the floor out of the hole behind the gas fire and make an awful buzzy sound. I once shut myself in the bedroom for about half a day waiting for ex p to get home as i knew there was one in the front room! My nana used to tell me that they fly in your hair and you have to cut them out, not sure if its true or not.
Sorry got a bit carried away there!! "duh"

We used to get bugs like that at my old flat too. They used to buzz outside the window for about an hour at dusk. They looked a little like bee's and I was told to stay away from them cos they get stuck in your hair and you have to get them cut out. I think we called them may-bugs. Not really sure of their real name.
