Hi,

I used to use Weenies with prefolds but I have just had to change from using prefolds to using Motherease shaped nappies. My daughter threw a tantrum every time I tried to put a prefold nappy on her but was fine with the one shaped nappy I had. That was an expensive pleasure as I needed both nappies and wraps but I find the shaped nappies much easier to use than the prefolds so I wish I had done it long ago.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

I used cloth nappies with my youngest, used several brands, my favoraites being mothease and Disana Tie On Nappy

I loved the tie ones, but everyone else use to struggle with them.

Hi - another clothie here !

I used a variety of meos, tots, nb stuffables and stuffies on dd1 until she potty trained, now I have dd2 in sandys and stuffies mostly, in air flow wraps. For night I like tots red wrap.

We used the Popolini Onesize for our daughter and they have been fab.

Just into potty training now as refusing to wear a nappy at all.

:Hello2: I am new to this site and this is my first post. So hi everyone. :D

I have three children but I am new to cloth nappies and am only just discovering the many types.

So far I have tried Fuzzis, MEOS, Bumbles and have a Wonderoo to try. HAve limited drying space so trying to find a quick drying nappy that works well.

Also I haven't tried night time yet does anyone have any suggestions for night time nappies. Should I try stuffing the fuzzis with more inserts?
thanks
Amanda

Hi, :Hello2:
I am embarrassed about how many nappies I have, here goes...
I started off with Cotton Bottoms prefolds (which I still use) and now also have
totsbots white and coloured
hemp nappies - growing greens and US Wahm made
Poochies
Cuddlebuns
Nappy Nation no fold
dizzy diapers
diddy diaper
bear behind
UK Wahm pocket
Happy Nappy Days Nappy
Snugglenaps
Little Lambs (both kinds)
Peeweez
There are more, but I forget what they are.
Plus I think I should stop.
Nappyholic.

Hi there,
I often use Peeweez nappies at night, they are very thick terry nappies, made from recycled towels. They close with poppers and have a fold out booster. I know one retailer sells them new on ebay.
Another recommendation for nights is a wool wrap, once they are lanolised they are very absorbent and add another layer, plus they are the most healthy for your baby's bum - very good breathability. :D
Hope that helps

I'm new to cloth nappies too even though this is my forth and last backside (err I mean child ;)).

I was so confused I went on a spree and so far have tried:

Fuzzi buns (brill but needed booster in)
Sandys which are amazing but pita to dry
bamboozle - oh I love this one!!
Minki huggle - to die for but son is like a mini caveman in it.
tots bots very good for night I've found
hempresto - really liked it but leaked, might try with different insert
Stuffie - soooooooo cute, waiting for two more to come :)
Fluffle

I wish I had done this with the first, it's super.

I mainly use Tots Bots with either Tots Bots wraps or NB wraps, but I also use NB stuffables, especially when I am going out as they are easier than Tots!

I have tried
modern baby - fairly absorbant flannel
sam I am - poor absorbancy
earthwise -fairly absorbant flannel
Popolini ultrafit- poor absorbancy
Motherease multifit - does what it says on the box
daisy - similar to tots bots
bumble - ds outgrew it
ellas house - not very absorbant
Poochies - not very absorbant , not a very nice fit for us
Cuddlebuns one size - gorgeous nappy gave us builders bum about to buy a bigger size
Modern baby stuffables - ds managed to wee everywhere with these on
Minki - wicked

We now have
Lovebums - love em wish my whole collection was these
Tots - good for nights
kissaluv - a bit low in the rise but works
Lots of prefolds for days at home and stuffing
bear behinds
heiny's and bahookies
growing greens hemp birth to potty - love these they are very absorbant
Motherease toddlease - medium absorbancy - take ages to dry
Lots of motherease, popolini and wool wraps and piles of boosters and fleece liners

Welcome newbies see ya round

good to find other 'clothies' out there! I have used cloth for 12yrs now, mainly terry flats for the first 3, then I 'discovered' mod cloth nappies!!!yah. I use mainly hemp nappies that is different kinds of nappies made with hemp, and I now sew most of my own. I like pockets the best as they dry the quickest [though in oz we dont have the same issue with drying. most things seem to dry in about an hr in the summer] I loved happy heinys too. the other brands are probably not worth listing as they are from local wahms here.
In regard to night nappies I use a fleece pocket [do they have fleece pockets in the UK?] stuffed with 1mtre of hemp, a flannel of terry strip [that goes on the top layer to 'catch the wee'] and a micro fibre clth under the terry or flannel to grab the wee and take it to the hemp layers under to hold it. I found this works the best with my ds's as they are all BIG wetters.
oh and I found the fleece [good quality-Malden mills here] to be better then pul as it breathes and so allowes for evap. during the night. Haven't had any leaks either!:D

I started using terry squares and plastic pants with our now potty trained DD but soon learned about meos and totsbots. I use nippa'd terry squares with DD2 but am also using totsbots nappies too and use totsbots, stacinator so simple and natures babies wraps instead of the plastic pants. We've got meos and kushies for DD when she's bigger and motherease and totsbots fleece wraps.

Yes I'm a clothie! I use stuffie's, they are the most absorbant I've used especially if I use a hemp insert and motherease airflow wraps. I love hemp swaddlebees but for the longest time I used prefolds!
I also sell nappies too. I've just bought some of the new organic velour swaddlebees, they look lush. I've not tried one yet though.
