Dodgy Paypal Email

Hi, I got this today and I think it is a fraud email


I 've reported it to Paypal and checked my account and all is ok at the mo.

just had a reply back and they confirm it was a phising email, so really glad I didn't do anything.

NEVER NEVER sign in through one of these emails. I had one last week which was so convincing. The one I got was a reciept saying I had purchased a TV. The amount was £600. I then went through my internet explorer and signed into my account...as suprise suprise nothing, they intend you to panic and sign on through the email. The same goes for Ebay too. Always sign in through the explorer not the email that has been sent. My parents came foul to this lasy year to the sum of nearly £800, sadly the money had been taken from their account, but luckily their bank refunded them and took on the dispute.

I had loads of these emails! I just ignore and delete them as this scam!!!!!!!

If it's not addressed to you by name it's fake. Paypal will only ever write to you by your ebay name or your real name - never dear member, dear (email address). That's one of the best ways to know immediately if it's genuine or not.

I keep getting fake ebay emails they are a pain in the butt.

If you did check to make sure you can still log in, AND IMMEDIATELY change your password!
