Manchester or Blackpool?

I seem to scare all babywearers off me, found one at church but I think I scared her off too.

Can't wait, I really need to get some help with carrying on back, but cos Dd is pushed a lot with Childminder she love going in a pushchair now.

Going to sell some of my stash soon and keep the ergo and coorie and maybe a MT.

Which carriers have you tried on the back? Would love to get you back-wearing, it's so useful

ergo and Ellaroo MT

I can carry Ds#2 ok he is 3 and have no problems getting him on etc, but Dd is 16 months and is harder

Cool  Which methods do you use to get your DD back there? Is getting her placed on your back the problem?

I think it's more getting the ergo straps in the right place etc, tbh I've not used it for a while, my fleece coorie is idea for hip carry for short spells. I will be carrying more in the summer when we go on holiday, so I will have someone else to help. I will try on my own again soon, just to see if it is any easier.

I like hip carrying but haven't worked out how to do that with the ergo. The MT doesn't feel right.

I've always found the structured carriers, like Ergo, too fiddly to feel very comfortable doing a back carry TBH. I find the MT much easier to get secure quickly.

One way to get a safe feeling back carry in MT is to start as if you are going to do a front carry, then holding the straps of the MT with DD inside, you can hipscoot the entire bundle (carrier and baby) around to the back.

Wraps :D I just love my wraps.. sure they take a little time, but you can do just about anything with a simple piece of cloth, and it just feels cool to do!

arhh now you see I'm an instant lady, hate too much fuss, love the look of wraps and would love to have one, but like something that is quick to execute.

I'm not very patient.

Hee - can understand that.. but yunno.. with a little practice, it's very fast!

I can whack a screaming 40lb toddler up to safety on my back in under 30secs - a lot faster than the Ergo/MT :happy72:
