Over the last couple of days I have developed a thing about playing Mahjong in the arcade. I have been having great fun and mentioned to dh that I wouldn't mind trying to have a go at the real thing.
Last night Emily and I settled down to watch tv and dh is on the computer. I hear him rummaging in the hall and flitting up and down stairs and went to see what he was doing. He had decided to have a look on e-bay to find me a mahjong set and had been looking for his wallet to pay for an item that he won in the last 2 minutes of an action. He told me off for being nosey and spoiling his surprise but then had to admit that he was glad that I had come to have a look when I pointed out what he was paying for. Yes it was a Mahjong set - brand new, in a lovely case and a bargain at £1.99, £5 for insurance - not bad considering it was coming from CHINA.:hysterica :hysterica Get this though postage and packaging was going to cost £75 making a grand total of £81.99 for a game that I might only ever play with once!!!
He said that we wopuld have to go though with the transactio because the seller had already e-mailed him the invoice and he would get into trouble with e-bay if he didn't. We read the bit about cancelling a bid after the end of an auction and there was no mention of the "husband is stupid and shouldn't be allowed to have a debit card" option. I e-mailed the seller and told him the computer had shutdown accidently when dh was looking at the item and when we turned it back on it had bought it by accident. Luckily the seller was very nice about it and e-mailed back this morning to say it was ok!!! Dh is now only allowed to browse on e-bay with adult supervison. :cheesy: :cheesy:
