Kitchen looked like crap when we moved here almost a year ago, finances have meant that we couldn't afford new kitchen units, but this past week we've Carol Smiley'd the kitchen (outside door was bricked up last autumn ~ for some wierd reason there were 2 doors leading to the driveway) and we bought a new cooker last autumn as well.

So here are the before pics

the floor was like that when we moved it, it's been well laid and still in very good condition

we painted the cupboard doors, bought new door handles from Ikea, painted the tiles, painted the well worn looking pantry door, put up a blind, replastered parts of the room

LOL that's just what I've said to DH, the lighter tile colour really reflects the light better, what used to be dark corners are no longer dark

the previous owners had turned them round and painted them but it had been done badly, we just used Wilkinsons own brand one coat satin gloss paint and it seems to have worked

crikey, what a diffenence, it looks loads bigger - you have done a fantastic job.

I managed to delete all of our before pictures with this place which is a huge shame 'cause even though you's still think we are semi derelict, the difference from what it was to what it is now is massive.

I am so jealous of your kitchen - i WANT A KITCHENcryingsmil

the tile paint was an absolute bargain, Wickes end of range colour £1.50 a tin

Looks really nice what a lovely big kitchen you have, my new kitchen is almost finished but still doesn't make it any bigger, no women would have chosen a house with such a small one!
