Hi

I'm just putting some new fancy dress on my site and have some lovely lifestyle images but not for each item.

Do you think I should keep it as it is and on the main picture leave it as a picture of the fancy dress or chage to lifestyle where possible or do you think this will look messy.

If you look at the link below I have put lifestyle on the Bumble Bee.

What do you think?

meanwhile is it the search engine friendly URLs that have made so much difference to your google rankings?? Been thinking about adding them...

Not sure - I was optimised and it has made a huge difference and really worth every penny.

Still working on optimising for other lines too though - although they are coming up in the rankings slowly.

When I read your post it sounded messy but when I looked at the link it looks fine. I think as the images are so small it doesn't look messy.

My son would have great fun with that dinosaur costume.

I have only recently learned about resizing images but have got it to a fine art now. A few weeks ago I resized every one in my shop as I wanted them bigger.

I think the bumblebee one looks fab - and gives you a nice professional edge because if you've got images like that it really does seem to suggest you are well in with a quality supplier. Love that little girl!

Don't ask... i've got to retake some of the Kids Craft ones as they really don't cut the mustard, i'm all at 6s and 7s trying to decide how to do my credit card stuff and i've got about 10 days before roughly another 40 products hit my house. I've got 5 boxes downstairs i can't bear to open.

And i'm DEADLY quiet :(

Merry, I saw your post about payments on another forum, it was beyond me though. I hope you find a solution that works for you. I am trying to decide whether to take off Paypal altogether. Its not deducting stock from my database when I have a PP sale. DP says to remove it but I am reluctant as I used to ebay alot and my paypal funds was free money which I spent more freely than the cash in my bank.

If I had lifestyle pictures for my products I would certainly be using them, I think they give a website some life

Oh glad it's not just me - I've got loads of work to do on the site - the fancy dress obviously, but I also have special occassion and designer wear to get on too!!!!

And I'm deadly quiet too!!!!!!!

Plus the noew dolls clothes will be in stock in a couple of weeks!!!

oh heck...I have to order it in, but then I'll have a huge bill to pay!

Oh the joys!!

I had that problem too and it drove me nuts....but Karen who does my site sorted it and it all works now - but god knows what she did!

I don 't think there is a fix except to add a pop up. All the invoices etc are working, its just the stock isn't reducing. Its ok now but when I get busy (!) it will be a problem.

I know what you mean! i can (almost) keep track of stock at the mo but when i start doing my craft stalls its going to be a nightmare! i will have to get DH to do me a workable excel sheet or something so that i can update straight after a show! lots of work....
