to sell Erin's clothes that don't fit and toys etc she is too old for?

Ebay seems a lot of hassle and i keep hearing people say their charges are too high.

I have some clothes she has never even worn and toys that she rarely used... play mats, door bouncers those sort of things.

I did think about maybe setting up a second hand shop on my website... do you think this is a good/bad idea?

You could try having a "pre-loved" section on your site.

Or you could list them here - http://www.mumszone.co.uk/auction2/ - its free!

yes agree with netty - do you have any NCT nearly new sales by you? we have them here - you label all your stuff up and take it - they sell it for you then you go and pick up anything thats not been sold. they then send you a cheque for what sold. downside is they do take 30% of whatever is sold. I am doing my first one in april but my friend does them every time and she says that her 99% of her stuff sells. it is a nearly new sale thought and they do inspect the goods and wont put them on display if they feel they are not good enough quality. they are really popular around here. maybe worth looking into?

You could try netmums.co.uk. I have sold things like the cot, pram etc on there - don't know how well they would with clothes though.

There is a new thing opened up to compete with ebay called ebid - one of the peeps on myspace sent me some info but i haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

It's time something competed with ebay as in my opinion there charges are getting out of hand.
