I'm thinking about totally revamping my site and as I'm going to practically start from scratch again i wondered if there are any recomendations on what to use to build it?

I currently use an online shop builder that uses oscommerse for my site. I'm thinking of maybe having a go at creating my shop with oscommerse myself but last time i looked at doing that it looked a bit fiddly! is there something better to create a shop with?

Thanks
Kerry

if you have the budget you could get someone to revamp it for you, if I had the money that's what I would do

I think you can create a website using Joomla

I know that someone will come along soon with some suggestions as I'm all out atm

i've love to be able to afford to pay for someone to revamp it for me but i'm a very tight budget at the moment :-(

mind you i have the ideas in my head for what i want my site to look like - i just have to learn how to do it!

yea ... i've built it with a shop building site called vstore - i had a free trial of their premimum service but that runs out at the end of the month so i have to either go back to the basic service or pay for the premimum version - its about £23 per month (dont know if that is dear or not!)

so thought i might have ago at building my site myself if i can manage it!

do you want your store to look totally different or have it sort of the same as it is now

you can quite easily (says she) create the look you have now yourself by using oscommerce

I think i'd like to keep it pretty similar to how it is now

does that £23 per month include hosting??

I looked at one last week which was £4.99 a month, it was called 123.reg i think or something similar. It seemed to have all the details for building your own website - looked a bit like website for dummies - probably why it looked so attractive to me.

After building my Joomla i now have a few issues which aren't getting sorted and i feel like dumping that site and starting again - aghhhhhhhhh. the site is actually live so don't want to have to start again.
