David Tenant has been announced as the new Doctor Who and will take over from Christopher Eccleston.

Do you think that Dr Who is suitable for younger children to watch? There has been talk that the new series is too scary and at one point the BBC put a warning on their website, only to take it down and say they hadnt meant to!

It is quite scary but then the old ones i used to think were scary, ds is fine watching them, he's fascinated and is always asking questions about it that i can't answer!!

I haven't watched TBH, so i wouldn't know weather or not it was scary for children. I prefer to watch Ant & Dec !! :P

I heard that the BBC has had lots of complaints about it - I think it is ok for family viewing. Ds is nearly 6 and loves it - says he isn't scared, but I'm not so sure, lol!

DD watches some of it, but loses interest very quickly! (I tend to watch it in our bedroom with her - and she would rather me read a book to her, but I'm quite hooked on it now!

Think the BBC response was that it was intended for around age 8+ to watch together with their parents.

My 2 have enjoyed it,don't think Kieran is scared at all.

After being told it was time for bed Tasha told him that it was Dr Who tomorrow and if he goes to sleep it would be on sooner.

My ds is really into Dr Who now - he recites all of the trailer "do you wanna come with me ...." word for word (including the echo bit!)

He can't wait for this week's with the Daleks!!

If anyone else has addicts (other halves or children) - try looking at the Who is Dr Who? (http://www.whoisdoctorwho.co.uk/) website.

As mentioned on the last episode, you can access UNIT and launch missiles if you want to!!

If you want to be a dalek - try this game!

My 7 year old DS and hubby love it. I like it, but I wouldn't go so far to say that I love it. We have every episode so far still stored in Sky Plus.. heaven help anyone who accidentally records over one of them

..my son keeps watching them over and over

...and now Billie Piper is leaving next series too

..they really should throw more money at these people to make them stay

Well, it was ds's birthday yesterday and grandad and a friend bought him volume 1 and 2 on dvd! - so we can watch episodes 1 - 6 again until the next volume comes out.

There is also a rumour of a Christmas Special ........
