Changed my front page slightly - opinions please

Hi,
I wondered if you could have a look at my welcome page. It's more or less been the same for the last year since I opened - mainly because I'm so rubbish at the techy side and I didn't know what to do and I can't expect Daffs to do every tweak because she's just so busy! I was having a look at other people's websites (mainly Judiths) to see what I could do to add a bit more interest for returning customers. I noticed that Judith had some pics on hers so I've added some to mine and changed it around a bit. Can you please tell me what you think.

Ok will have a go at that now - thanks Toni - this is exactly the reason I asked :D It was late last night when I suddenly decided to 'have a go'. Will see what I can do - if the page suddenly goes blank you know I've messed up :laugh:

Which header? The name Kip's Kabin banner? I can't alter that - don't know how. I see what you mean but the pics are in line with the writing and everything else.

Thanks Suzi. I just wanted it to catch the eye of returning customers - I do have quite a high percentage of them which is fab but hopefully if the site looks a bit different next time they come they'll stay longer and buy :D
I'm saving up to get some new stock - that should help too!

You would probably have to align the banner to the right if you wanted the kips kabin in the middle I think

The header is centred as as it is a 'fit to browser' width site, the header will automatically be centered to the page. Nowt I can do unless Sarah wants it left aligned, etc.

Not at all, all input is helpful. It's the way I work. That's why I like showing designs to critical fussarses for input before things go live.

I know you are Alison - you are brill. I just know that you have a lot on at the moment and there's no reason why I can't learn to do stuff myself. It gives me something to do and I've enjoyed doing it :happy72:

Looks great! As a new customer, I would love to see some little thumbnails of the Bestsellers.

Also, I think it makes a lovely touch seeing a family photo when you have mentioned them - I thin it really personalizes a site.

Just suggestions! Wont be offended if you don't take them on board! Lol!

Daffs suggested I linked the pics and I've managed to do that too :happy72: Gosh I'm almost a website designer - well nowhere near actually but it's keeping me happy :hysterica

It looks great imo.
Only problem I'm having with it is hte left menu. Any links that are two lines down fit to the blue buttons for me. Even when I resize my font. The two line links bleed off of the blue button into the white background and because the font color is also white, it's hard to read. I'm using IE 6.0 though. So it's probably just me.
