Aaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! !!!!! I got a text off a long-time-no-see friend yesterday. But before I tell you the content of the text, if you have the time please read the background story here (http://blueberrymusings.blogspot.com/2007/01/are-you-rich-yet.html).

So yesterday, while I was relaxing at home (because of public holiday), her text came, which lovingly sounded like this:
"Have you received your salary? Can you help me today? I have one last thing to settle."

My reply:
"Help with what? Haven't you received your salary yet?"

Then she gave two texts explaining that her salary has been used up to fund a project, and proceeded to explain a very complicated procedure in which her business has been awarded a big project. In order to get the funds from this project, she needs to open a personal account amounting to RM1800 with this company. And I know this is all BULL****.

So I kept quiet and had a nice lunch all by myself. Then she texted "So, are you helping me or not?". To which I got soooooooooooooooooooo pi**ed and replied :"Yes, I have money. I just got my annual bonus FYI. However, I can't give the money to you cos I'm not buying a single bit this story about your business. It doesn't sound right. Plus we haven't been in touch for 10 years and suddenly out of the blue you called and asked for my money. That's rather rude. I'd rather use my money to help friends who always calls to ask how I am. Sorry. Why not you go make a bankloan."

I didn't receive a reply after that. I hope she'll stop calling me. I heard she's been calling all of our friends (she's my ex-unimate) asking for a loan.

Thanks. Yeah she hasn't been ringing since, thank God. She didn't even had the guts to reply to my last text message. Actually another friend of ours spoke to her a few days earlier, when she called this friend asking for money. This friend said, "Even if I have the money I won't give it to you, cos you and I weren't really very close in the first place". So that inspired me to just tick her off and stop her from bugging me IYKWIM :fryingpan: . My mom would be upset if she hears about this cos she always says we ought to be nice to everyone, but I think I can be nice to her if she would only tell us the truth and speak politely. I definitely can't stand her gruff voice asking "Are you rich yet?" right after the hello! :cursin:

Thanks hun. The truth is out now, she has borrowed money from an illegal moneylender and now is being hounded. These moneylenders are very vicous people, and have even known to hurt. But because she hasn't been completely honest and polite to us, we are not making any moves to help!

That must be a horrible scary situation to be in for her but why should she lie so deviously to you and bug you like that after no contact for 10 years?

Thanks girls, we are not sure if she has mental issues or whether she's too stressed from being hounded by the moneylenders and we can't quite care at the moment! We are too deeply engrossed in our own problems to bother with rude people!

the things is that she had the cheek to ring people she hasn't spoken to for 10years and ask them for money why ont get a legit loan and pay the illegal loan ppl off someone would give her a loan then she wouldn't worry about being hounded if she pays them on time that is
