Just to add that Triple P ( positive Parenting Programme) also recommends using reward charts for managing children's behaviour. Triple P is the programme that Sure Start are using

Sure Start is a government funded project that targets ' deprived areas'. It caters for families with children under the age of 4years. They provide training courses for parents and opportunities for children to socialise, plus they are focussed on speech and language development and integration of isolated families into the community.

I used to.

I work for Social Services now advising childcare practitioners on behaviour management and Child Protection. I also case hold within Child Protection and Children in Need issues.

Having said that, can I just say that I am not a Social Worker, I know the stigma that is attached to that role LMAO :P :D
