Has any one used one of these - electric/ or cheap box of salts type?
Do they work?

we've got the cheap box salt thingy ones because we've had such bad condensation on our original stained glass 1930's windows in the hallway/landing, and guess what, they do actually work

We have got an electric one and it is great. We use it from September until May time and it has to be emptied daily as we pull that much water. In the winter, the windows do sometimes get full of condensation still but not as bad as before having the dehumidifier.

not in a bathroom, to much moisture, but it'll work anywhere else, i used to restore classic cars, then they were put in storage we used to put a bowl of salt in them, to stop condinsation, otherwise the intiria trim used to go mouldy

My mum used to do the bowl of salt thing in the caravan they had, when they left it.
