Ordered a hoover, two lots of duvet sets and some pillows from Argos the day before yesterday, they were meant to be delivered before 1pm yesterday....So at 1.50pm I rung them, to be told they were held up by snow (we don't have any) and that they would definately be here tomorrow, and that somebody should of phoned me.
Today, rung them again half an hour ago, just to confirm that they were en route to be told they aren't. The lass i spoke to was rather rude and plainly couldn't give a flying flip where they are.....so rung again. To be told that they have been lost in transit, and that they will be here tomorrow and that someone should of rung me.
All I have been offered for this hassle is my delivery charge back, and that for me isn't enough. I have lost two whole mornings...which I have had to wait in with with yesterday two ill kids, and today with one hyper one whilst dh sleeps as he is on nights!!
So far from impressed with Argos right now...what a bloody f**k up!:hissyfit:

I never understand Argos, they are either fantastically good, or fantastically awful. Good luck.

My worst experience was ordering a glass garden table, it was smashed when they delivered it. Obviously I didn't know till I opened it, a friend offered to take me to an Argos and exchange it, (which I did) but it defeats the obeject of home delivery, I may as well have gone and picked it up in the first place! shrugshoulders111

Yeah it does, they asked me earlier if i wanted to go and buy the stuff from my local argos instead.....so asked them firstly how i could do that when they have all my money, and secondly how could I get to Elgin and back with two sick kids on the bus let alone take home a hoover, two lots of duvet sets and a pair of pillows!!

Exactly!, That is usually my problem. You feel like saying "no actually, I had them delivered because I love to wait for my goods, I love the hassle of not getting them the day you said I would even though you have my money" "Doh" "Doh"

I ordered a bed for Argos a few years ago when I moved into a new house. It was all set to be delivered on the day I moved - didn't appear - they left me for 2 weeks without a bed and I had to do all the chasing so I swore I would never get anything delivered from them again!
I was in this morning getting a floatie for my LO and there was a guy in complaining that his tumble dryer hadnt been delivered yesterday and he waited in all day and no phone call - wasn't a happy chappy!!!!
Hope it comes tomorrow...if not tell them to stuff it and order it through Tesco

Not coming today....this is now the third morning I have wasted in less than a month waiting for Argos. They also couldn't tell me why it isn't coming as it is only about 27 miles away. And they couldn't tell me if it would come tomorrow or Monday, when dh is on nights.
Also haven't been given a date for the bunk beds either...not that they will come on the day they are due anyway.
Not shopping with Argos again. Their customer service is non existent and their delivery is a joke.
