Oscommerce is the only one I know and it wasn't too bad to set up. Changing the look and feel of an oscommerce website isn't too difficult, you might need some php knowledge but I'm sure you'll do alright with that.

oooooh are you opening a shop? am I too nosey!!!

Don't ask Tanya for advice though - hers hasn't been working for weeks and she didn't notice
Tanya, Toni has ten million books she wants to sell!

What features do you want for it Toni?

Web interface for uploading items?
Stock control?
Cheque payments as well as paypal?

There are loads of carts out there - mals, romancart, oscommerce are the 3 freebies off the top of my head (actually I think you have to pay to upgrade romancart to use paypal...). And of course the paypal cart.

Oscommerce probably takes the most work of those to customise if you are knowledgeable of programming a normal website - as mals and romancart just use standard tags inside a normal HTML website so no php needed.

HTH a bit?

Hi Toni,

We've used oscommerce, oscmax and zencart - depending on what our client's needs are.

Our client's who have zencart love the fact that they can make simple changes to their site via their admin panel without too much fuss and without needing to contact us.

I would say think about what sort of functions you want for the site and then look at the three mentioned above and see which best suits you.

If you want to chat about it - feel free to e-mail me hun and I can give you some more info based on my experiences with the 3 different ones. :-)

Hey if i can manage my zen cart it must mean that it's as easy as working the washer:happy72: Well i haven't quite sussed the washer yet but i'm getting there.

I do know that Paypal processor went on really easily.
