I read one of these books last year. It was sent to me as part of a reading circle and I thought it was quite good. It didn't take me long to read it as I read it every day on the way to and from work!!

I haven[t read any of these but have just finished the 6th book in the Women Murder Club series by James Patterson - I love them all and can't put them down. The last one had a very different slant and tbh wasn't as good as the others but still really enjoyed it (can send you them if you want Toni!)

I've read all the Detective Agency books, and they are lovely -very gentle, so if you are expecting plot twists and turns, you'll be disappointed!

My Mum recommended the books to me - Mum and Dad lived in Africa (Zambia) for 6 years, (I was born there, but haven't visited since we left when I was 14 months old).

I thought the books had beautiful descriptions, but not really 'flowery' (and Mum says it describes beautifully the Africa she remembers)
