just got our electric bill through and am totally astounded by the amount they are charging us,dh has just rang them up and asked if it correct and they said yes !,dh said it had gone up by nearly £40 and this is right as they are going up by 36% apparently ,same with the gas bill .How the hell do they get away with this !20061008
So this quarter somehow from somewhere we have to find another £100 to pay our gas and electric bill, dont think they will be getting the full amount!,I am at the moment looking for better providers does anyone recommend any I have looked at southern electric and at the moment they say they could save me nearly £150 a year.any help appreciated:unsure:

we left BG for that reason....it was getting extortionate! its so confusing when every company is telling you they are the cheapest though!

I am thinking of switching companies, I am with BG atm but my electricity bill has gone throught the roof!! my electric bill this time was £227.71 for a quarter!! and I still owe them money for the last quarter but they can go whistle because I think paying £46 a month on direct debit is a lot of money and I am not putting it up

We are on key meters anyway, i think you use them more economically and dont tend to turn the heating on unless we really need to. It seems to work out ok for us, but EDF say that can save us more money :party05:
