i should probally put this in the health forum, but i also need to scream aswell so ive choose this one out the 2... well 1 of my little twins is in hospital... the poor little thing, he isnt well at all.... it all started a wk b4 xmas he caught a cold from his twin brother.. so off i went 2 the docs with both boys.. they had there chest listened to and all i was advised to do was give them calpol or a childs cough med... well during the wk little ry started to get worse.. i thought it was the full force of the cold coming out so i planned to take him to the docs on the wednesday.. day after boxing day.... well it wasnt a day id expected to happen... ry woke up that morning cold very pale and hardly breathing.... he was so limb, i thought i was gonna loose him there and then... off to the hospital in a blurrrr,,, and next thing docs and nurses dashing everywhere.... blood tests... oxygen.... god, my little boy was so poorly.... half an hour later he was on the high dependancy ward in an oxygen thank needing 60% oxygen.... sticky pad things all over his body.... just like a poor little helpless (e.t) turns out he had numonia... thankfully he recovered after 5 days of antibiotics and 5 days of oxygen at different levels..... well the friday ry was due to come home he was sick in hospital... i was surprised they let him home... after having numonia i thought coming home after only 5 days was way 2 soon but docs insisted he was fine..... fine my assssssss..... ry just kept being sick... not violently sick.. but just being sick... maybe once a day sometimes 3 or 4 times a day... so i took ry to our local walk in centre after realising this sickness isnt just gonna pass. the doc i saw advised me to take ry back to the hospital as she said listening to his chest sounded like he has got back his chest infection or hed caught a bug while being in hospital... so on saturday off i went back to the hospital... waited in the a & e department for nearly 5hrs..... and guess what they said he was ok.... after an examination guess what they said...... he needed a poooo..... have you ever heard anythink so stupid.... they said he was very constipated and so when he was feeding his food couldnt go down to digest so it was coming back up again.... they gave him a little tablet up his bum arrrrrrrrhhh and sent him home.... since the saturday night to the monday morning he had opened his bowels 3 times.... but still being sick so i phoned our gp and demanded an app for that evening.... the gp checked him out.... and said only 1 thing ...... hospital..... so off i went again back to the a & e waited 2hrs this time explained everythink again but by this time i really had, had enough... so i said last time they said he needed a poooo.... well hes been 3 times and guess what hes still being sick.... so last time you just told me a load of crap...... so this time they suggested maybe a water infection... i had to sit with ry on my lap for over an hour trying to keep his little manhood in a pot to try and get a water sample.... my partner went off at 10pm to ask them for a drink of juice to try and make him go and by 11pm they still wasnt back with a drink and they just gave up on the water sample... all they could suggest was that ry came back today to see his own pedatrician.. so today another app at the hospital... the ped looked at ry checked him over and said this child is going straight to the infants ward.... he isnt well at all... he has lost 2lb 2oz... in the last 3wks.... hes had a chest x-ray today and hes now lying in a hospital cot on oxygen again...... they now think he has broncitis.... how can the hospital just ignore his health like they have i am so mad its just totally discusting......they even ignored my gps letter which said to admit ry to hospital when i took him on monday.... its now thursday.... little ry could have been in days ago getting better and getting ready for coming home..... ive been so totally depressed and sick with worry... my poor little ryan he doesnt deserve this he already has enough to put up with hes much smaller than an average 13mnth old as he has down syndrome.. so he did only weigh 14lb 2 but now is only 12lb... he has heart and lung problems and has gastro refluxes...... and now broncitis... so its very clear to me they let him out of hospital way to soon... and now after days of neglect from the bloody nhs... hes back in there...... and we have a big new hospital in coventry.... i tell u what i wouldnt take my dog there.... never mind the kids again...... sorry its so long but i just had to rant rant rant rant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
