message on the answerphone this morning from who??? YES! the flamin tax man AGAIN!!! to say that there is a problem suprise suprise and that it looks like i am going to be overpaid by about £500...so i tell him that there is a mistake somewhere cuz i had a letter from the tax credit place yesterday saying they were sending me 2 cheques for £71 each in feb and march to pay me back what they owe me. and he tells me that he has been told my them that the are paying me £500 which i am not entitled to and will ahve to pay it back!

how ridiculous! i told him that you can see why people have no faith in the system and he said that on this occasion he would have to agree with them.

aawww hun the tax credits system is a load of 20061008 Hope they get it sorted for you they can be a right PIA :angry-smi123

Take it higher...to their board of directors or whatever they are called...there is a booklet that they sound out when you get your award and it has a section on what to do when they f*ck up, and it lists the whole process.....start it and appeal if you have to. You have to fight back or they will d*ck you about for years as they suck. CAB are also great for shaking them up as well, but you will need to supply the CAB with a consent letter, so that they can speak or write to them on your behalf.

Good luck!! They are bloody awful, I have had years of hassle. It has gone smoothly this year...but I don't expect it will last forever!!
