The loved and respected pope passed on this evening at 9.37 pm rome time which is one hour infront of GMT.

May he go home to lay in peace!

I'm not religious in any way, shape or form, but this is a sad time. This man was tireless in his efforts to make the world a better place, and to make sure that everyone, all over the world was thought of daily! He loved EVERYONE, and that is a truley magnificent thing to do. Very, very sad, but at least he is no longer in pain and suffering. I can remember when he became pope, i was just a young girl then, and it was all very exciting. I think he is one of the few popes to travel as widely as he did, he really did care about everyone, and it is sad that he has gone, but if you beleive in those things, then he watches over us still!
