Just a question about holding stock,
In the past my stalls and fairs have always been priority and i have kept enough stock to display one item and a couple for overstock.
Last year i didnt do any stalls/selling for the first 4 months of the year (by choice) and ran down my stock on the lead up to my last stall in dec but i have now started to take more of an active interest in my site, which by the way is going to be launched very very soon (so excited!) and so want to make sure i keep enough stock if i get orders in.
Do you keep some stock of everything you advertise or do you order in as you get the orders?
The downside to that i think will be the carriage as the minimum carriage paid is approx £150.00?ish
Also dont want to have "dead stock" in if god forbid i dont get any orders!

I will be doing a couple of dropship items so they wont be a problem but in general what the best thing to do?

Thanks in advance

I order the minimum amount from a supplier that I can without having to pay shipping charges. I hold very few of each item. I prefer to find out how things sell before ordering too many.

HAGGLE! tell suppliers your situation and appeal to them - say how much you love their stock and how much you would love to promote them - is there any better deal that they can do????

Speak to people in person, familiarise yourself with one person in particular and always ask for them.

You will be able to get better deals!
