I love machine embroidery, if its not nailed down in this house its gets embroidered! I have a Brother Galaxie 3100d and just love it! I'm a member of an embroidery site too and do swaps which are great fun.
Just wondered if anyone else here like it too?

Yes I enjoy machine embroidery but I do it freehand without the foot. I don't have a special embroidery machine.

Hiya,
I`m well into machine embroidery! I have a Husqvarna Quilt Designer II which is my pride and joy!
I`d be interested in hearing a bit more about the embroidery site!
Clare.

Great I'm not the only one! :clapping: Free hand embroidery sounds a little hard for me I must admit, more skill than I have, but having seen results its very beautiful.
Clare, I have a husky overlocker, but my embroidery machine is a Brother 3100d. I'm amazed its not worn out with the amount it does :cheesy: Ive sent you a pm.

I have looked at the machines, but cannot decide if I would use one much. Would love to give it a try though.

Thanks for your pm, will sign up!
I bought some basic kids T-shirts from Asda and thought I embroider them tonight. It`s great how you can turn a 75p T-shirt into something pretty!!
Going to give the Guterman Totally Stable stabilizer a go this time.
My friend is a Husqvarna dealer and I work for her alternate Saturdays so I got a very good deal when buying my machine!

Didn`t think I`d get into it as much I have!!! it`s amazing what you can use them for, I try and make my own presents to give to friends etc and always seem pleased with them.
If you`ve got a good machine dealer near you such as a Husqvarna Viking, Brother, Pfaff, Janome,Bernina etc, they`ll be gladto give you a demo.
It`s addictive though so watch out!!!!!

Hiya
I know this post was a fair while ago, but I've just come back from a "Creative Applique" course where I've been giving freehand embroidery a go - a bit tricky to start off with but fantastic once you get the hang of it !! I've been approached by a website to do some appliqued t-shirts for them to sell (this is my actual line of business - you can see some of my stuff at Picture it in Stitches website - sorry, not allowed to post the link yet !) and I was wondering how you got on with embroidering the Asda t-shirts and how the Guterman Totally Stable stablizer worked? I normally use bondaweb.
