Men + Football = ?????

What is it with men and their football. DH is watching the England match and the noises coming from the other room...well Im sure others know what I mean....

Anyone would think he was a professional football player from the way he is shouting "come on you idiot not like that you should be doing ............ (insert various phrases there as required). Then we have the ooooohs and aaaaaaaahhhhs or YYYYYaaaaaayyyyys if we score!

Does this sound familiar to anyone else?

I was reading the paper yesterday and it stated that over half of male football fans who were questioned would ditch their other halves over the football!!!!

I asked my DP what he would choose never watching/supporting Liverpool again or me (i was quietly confident on this one ladies) he ummm and ahhhhed for about 2 min's then said i dunno love

My Dh isn't into football either, and he stares at me like I'm some kind of an alien everytime I say "Oh that guy's off side already" or "yayyy they're getting a corner kick" because 'no one is supposed to know anything about football'! :rolleyes:

Luckily No as Dh aint a big footie fan so it aint usually on at home, and if it is its me watching it ( like the charity match at the wekend btween the liverpool legends and the celebs) but other than that we not have it on.. tho if england are playing he does go down the pub with his mates to watch it as its any excuse to have a drink or 2 or 3 lol!!

Saying that we get similer sounds when the golf,motorbike raceing or F1 are on. :rolleyes:

Colette that makes 2 of us that are lucky-my dp wont look at another woman either(but then you know that cos you told me too-lol) and if he had to choose would always choose me n the kids over sport.
