We have been doing my lads room bit by bit-awkward as DP works shifts so has to fit in around them.
Well we have got his new wardrobe done-one of the fabric ones in blue, got the walls painted and got the carpet fitted.Well the bit he doesnt know about is that he is having a new bed too and just had the call to say it arrives Thurs. aftn-can just imagine his little face love him-he couldnt stop saying 'wow, thank you' when the carpet was done love him.
Just hope he will be ok as it is a midi bed with a tent underneath-got visions of him falling off the steps.
Only thing left then is a little bedside unit in that fabric then he is done.
Then i'l have to put all his motorbike posters back as he wants them back now but need to wait for bed to see were to put it first.

Ooh - ds loves playing in his "tent" - he also tidies up by throwing everything in there!
We got the version with a slide as well - big mistake cos I always fall over the end of it when I'm checking on him!!

I thought about getting the slide with it but dont think i'd ever get him to stay in bed-lol ROTFL
I have visions of getting up in the morning and finding him asleep in the tent as he loves camping so if he thinks it a tent the same I can just imagine him doing that-lol ROTFL
Yes I can just imagine his tidying up being under the tent with the lot.

Awwwww the room sounds lovely bikemad, I'll bet he'll be absolutely made up when he sees his new bed !!!!! Let us know how it goes
I redid our kids bedrooms a few months back and we did the boys a kind of rainforest theme because I got some wicked duvet covers from Vertbaudet in that design. They have khaki and beigy yellow walls with amazingly coloured tree frogs and lizards all around the room. It looks really good and they love it. The girls have got the usual pink and lilac but we went for one wall in a really deep vibrant hot pink colour and it looks fab....
I love decorating and have been doing the kitchen the last few days and then will be giving the bathroom a facelift.

Your boys room sounds lovely-my SD room is the same as your girls-pink n lilac.
Jordan is motorbike crazy so it was hard finding ways to get all the room to tie in with his curtains n duvet cover hence the metalic style bed.Arrives tomorrow and he has no idea as kept it a surprise.

Well the bed arrived at 2.30pm so as soon as he got in at 3pm DP put it together-looks great and it took him about 1 1/2 hrs to do.
Jordan loves it-he loves the tent and decided it is 'were the girls go!!!!??? :ph43r: 'Bit young I told him!!!!!! ROTFL What he meant was when his mates come to play but coz of his speech probs he said that instead.
All the posters are back up now as well and he is well chuffed love him.Wanted to take a pic of him in there but he hates photo's at the mo but will take a few snaps in the morning n work out how to post them up here for ya to see.

Glad he likes it!
When we bought the bed for Josh it worked for him too cos he hadn't been sleeping in the old single bed very well.
Only problem I have with it is when he is not settling or has a bad dream etc its difficult to lie down beside him (even more difficult to get down again without disturbing him!!)
Last year, I did say I 'd lie in the tent for while a couple of times - then had to crawl out of the room!!! :D

Im thinking of doing my DS's room in blue, but not sure what sort of theme 2 do in there.
Im thinking of doing pink in my DD's room, and she wants Barbie or something girly in her room.
In my room, im doing terrecotta, and in the lounge, im doing burgundy and cream, in the hall, its gonna be Lilac.

"ROTFL" That's his idea-he cant get enough of bikes. We had a look in a motorbike shop today and he tried a kids one but it was too big for him so he was gutted-not that i've got that sort of money to spend anyway.

Bikemad thats a lovely bedroom your young man has there. Im amazed you can get him out of it. My eldest love his bikes and seems to spend most of his time at the weekends down the bikes shops picking up new gear, and its costs a fortune
