Just had a letter from the Surrey Times asking me if I'd like a stall at a very nice ideed wedding fair which is near Guildford in March. The cost for the cheapest table is £2.50 which is a 4' one or £350 for a 6' table.

I really don't know whether to go for it or not, it doens't say how many other stationery companies will be there though hopefully they will be limit the quantity of each thing. It will be extremely well advertised but £250 is still a lot of money to find. Quite honestly if I take one booking it will pay for the stall plus a profit but it's a gamble I suppose as to whether I get a booking.

Don't know what to do, would you do it if you were me. I've never taken Posh Daisy to a fair before so it will be a first for me. I've only ever been to one wedding fair 10 years ago when I was getting married myself too.

Thanks.

Kate

Hi Kate
I would pass on the one this year but go and visit it. Then you can decide for next time. Or you could see if you can share a stand with someone else. It is a lot of money to pay.
I try and visit all fairs now and then I make notes in a book ready for the following year. I have been stung before! You could always go and hand out business cards or leaflets - mega cheeky!
Take care

Hi,
In my opinion i would go for it. I know we are in a totally different market but last year we only did small, cheapish craft fairs and stalls and we thought that the larger more expensive ones were out of our league but the takings reflected that, this year we took a risk and to be honest it paid off and saved us from having to give it up! we paid about the same ammount as your saying for a show in a very dodgy area but with massive footfall and huge advertising coverage and we took loadssssssss of money ! it was worth it for us and the gamble paid off. I hope this helps?
