Hi All,
I want to thank who ever it was that mentioned selling on Amazon, until that post i thought they only sold books and c.d's!!!
Well in just over a week i have sold 5 items, which for me is great as i have only had a total of 24 sales through my website in 18 months! something that Daffs is putting right with a totally new one being launched in the near future... watch this space.(i do the majority of my business face to face..stalls etc)

Now my questions are

1, i have advertised some things on there but the majority are not previously listed items so dont know how to list them to sell ?
2, would i be better off advertising on the pro-thingy (aren't i the techy one-not!) if i want to put lots of things on?

3,how do i create a shop on there?

i know this may seem really simple to some people but i am really struggling as i am so basic with p.c's...i have spent ages going into every field/link on their site and still don't get it?

I would be really grateful of any advice.

I'm just using it to sell all my old books, cd's and videos. I'm not sure how you go about setting up a store on it.

Can you sell handmade things on there or just mass produced items that are in shops?

Thanks!

This is one of my questions really, is there a facility to upload your own pictures? if so the worlds our oyster!!
You can on ebay (of course) but one of my suppliers of gorgeous fair trade items doesnt allow you to sell on ebay (?)

I've read that the Amazon shops are a waste of time. On www.moneysavingexpert.com there is a huge Amazon thread. There are quite a few pro merchant sellers on there who are very helpful. There is a set number of sales per month before it is worth your wjhile going promerechant, I can't remember the number. It could be 23 or 28, I'll try to fond it later.

The bit about not undercutting prices is important IMO. Some sellers have a programme which automatically reduces their price if it is undercut by another seller. Always match the lowest price, never undercut it as it just starts price wars.

if you're a real pro

'If you find yourself selling quite a number of books per month you may want to consider taking out Pro Merchant subscription, this means that the 86 pence standard fee is waived and you never have to relist a book again - well not for 3 years at any rate, the monthly fee is £28.75 so if you can sell over 33 items you're up on the deal. You can cancel at anytime and only be billed for that current month.'
