What date do you all give for the last posting date and do you close down for Christmas? For those who stay open do you get many orders over Xmas? Do you check for orders over this time or do you manage to get away from it all for a few days?

I want to shut shop and just switch off from it - this job is more responsibility and time consuming than kids - i need a break from them from time to time so i definately need a break from this. I wouldn;'t mind but i have no idea what takes up so muchy of my time - it's not like i am snowed under with orders.

Well the last day for Royal Mail 1st Class post is 19th December, so I think I will go for 18th December as my last day to guarantee delivery before Christmas.

This will be my first one, so I am not sure what I will do tbh - sorry that doesn't help much does it !!

I wouldn't have thought many people order over Christmas ?

I think I'll set a last posting date... and then wait and see / prepare for the January sales!!!

I think I will put up a notice about delivery before christmas and then stay open and fulfill orders just after christmas.

I have tried closing over christmas and setting dates early for last orders before christmas neither have worked that well for me so I think I'll just stay open this year and see how that goes.

I have been open for the last three yesrs at christmas, I alway put a note about the postage times, what I find is you get alot of people looking at your site, I am maily wedding baised and this is the time most couples are together and they surf the web to find invitations etc.
I advertise on google but I always take it off on the special days etc.
