Hi All
I was just wondering how many of you consign your products to shops, I am wanting to do this and wondered if anyone has any advice on how to approach them?

Thanks

It's when you let a shop sell your goods and they take a percentage of the price, there are other ways of doing it as well.

Ahhhhh, I see. I don't, no. :cheesy:

Sorry, I am in a really silly mood. I don't know anyone who does actually, but then I don't know an awful lot of people.

I had experience of Sale or Return once .. they took 20% ~ I think .. it was a long time ago but worked well as they didn't have any outlay or unsold stock problems and I had a temporary outlet :D

Tracey from wicknwax sells to shops but she won't be around for a while, her DD is very ill.

Hiya ,

Yes I have some of my cards in the local Post Office and Flower shop.

Anything you wanna ask feel free I may be able to help :-)

I do this also, one shop was wanting 33% of my takins, another put my prices up £2 more to get her cut, so now i have a few shops where i am happy.

See i'd just walk in with my wares and ask them to sell my stuff, i'd offer them a percentage - smaller than 20% though, well there's got to be room for haggling - your stuff is lovely so i think that you could just go for it.

I keep on telling my mum to take her stuff to local shops - if i had a shop i'd have your stuff in it. I wouldn't phone a shop up - it gives them the opportunity to reject you before they have seen your items.
