We've made the 'official' copy of the cd for the fund. We made a trial one on Friday at a friends house and we made the 'proper' one today in a recording studio who donated 3 hours recording time to us, we had to pay for an hour but I didn't mind that. Katherine struggled for a start, we had to go this morning and mornings are always a bad time to sing, I wondered if she was going to be able to manage but it wasn't long before she warmed up and got into her stride. Most songs were done with only 2 takes, a couple took 3 goes and two of them only took 1 go!!
I'm so proud of her. She loved being in the studio, I will upload some pics to show you in a mo (only just remembered about them). The only thing is..... we think they've put too much reverb on her voice :no:
Nothing we can do about it now. It's still really good for a first attempt and people will realise that it's her first one and it was done on a really tight budget (I hope). Anyway the local radio station have asked for a copy as they are going to give it some airtime to promote sales.
I'm really pleased she made it but having a bit of a wobble about whether we've done the right thing, just hope that it's well received as it will really knock her confidence if people don't like it cryingsmil
