Yes I am! Slowly learning to knit, tried crochet and got too annoyed by the fact I couldn't understand the whole technique and patterns.
Currently knitting scarves and hope one day to move onto more complicated stuff :)

Oh yes! I definetely have a yarn habit and have drawers and boxes of the stuff. I'm a knitter though. I keep trying to crochet, but knitting is so much easier and therefore always more appealing to me :)

I have just started knitting again (haven't done it since I was a kid at my grandma's!) so far have only mastered scarves but been using eyelash wool which hides a multitude of sins!! Getting better and hopefully gonna try some cushion covers......x x x x

I've just started, not great but maybe one day with lots of practice who knows...

Yes, with practice you'll be great. I've only been knitting since 2003, but have made quite good progress, it's just a case of sticking with it.
I get my knitting needles out every winter, get the girls to choose their own wool and knit them all scarves, and a couple of doll blankets for my youngest.
I am only a basic knitter, but I enjoy embroidery much more, cross stitch bores me a little, I like to practise different effects with different stitches.
Haven't had time to do it much over the last couple of years, but my middle daughter has now taken it up as a hobby and has pinched all my embroidery silks

moi!
jumpers, gloves, hats, jewellery... I always seem to go for complicated ones.
I would love to be able to source Cachemire yarn. Any ideas of where to find affordable ones?

fold ypour fabric in half and in half again to make a "cross" like +that gives you the centre of the fabric, then locate the centre of the pattern by your chart and start in the middle and work outwards, guaranteed to fit then unless you bodge up somewhere!

I've started crocheting (or at least want to) but I would like advice on which wool would be the best to start off with so I can see each "stitch/loop" easily to be able to pick it back up again with the crochet hook.
Help?

plain cheapo double knit is the best step in the right direction in complete honesty!

When I was pregnant with my fisrt one, I knitted a little cardigan for him. It turned out to be way too big. It seems my knitting is a bit loose. but now, that he has turned 3, it fits ! LOL

I am another yarn junkie. I knit and crochet. DH is going barmy about the amount of wool everywhere let alone the crosstitch and papercrafts stuff.

There is no way I could do anything with wool - not with two barmey cats around!

I manage ok with a loopy cat. I keep my cone or ball of yarn in my bag so it doesn't excite kids or cat.
