WILL LOVE BREAKDOWN?
Couples are being offered a marriage MoT by the church to see if they are truly compatible before the big day arrives when they walk down the aisle. The guide has been written by the Rev Andrew Body, a vicar who himself has been married for 36 years and a marriage counsellor for 25 years. The new book, called Growing Together, asks couple whether their views on a range of subjects like sex and morals are similar and won't lead to differences in the future.
Rev Body, of Chobham, Surrey, said: "This book is aimed at everyone preparing for their wedding day. "It recognises that many couples live together before taking their vows. "Relationships need check-ups just like cars do. What better time to have a 'Marriage MoT' and to ask each other these big questions than before the big day itself?"
The book, Growing Together will be launched at the UK Wedding Show at the GMex centre in Manchester next weekend.
Questions include:
What are the best things about your sex life now?
How do you feel about older people making love?
Would you ever want to check up on each other and is it OK to have secrets?
Will you go to church after your wedding?
